The role of IT Consultant

Our target planet is called ‘Best digital service’ for citizens in Germany. As an IT consultant for the #OpenSourceAstronauts, you will play a key role in helping us to optimally navigate this planet.

As a navigator, you will guide complex projects through the world of public administration and provide technical advice to our customers. You will analyse, optimise and transform administrative processes. On your mission, you will work on forward-looking projects at federal and EU level, taking into account both technical requirements and market opportunities. Your strong customer focus will help you here, as you will develop and maintain customer relationships and conduct project meetings with customers as well as their preparation and follow-up independently. As the interface between them and the implementation team, you transform requirements into cosmic concepts. You will also organise workshops with customers and stakeholders and represent our mission at sales events.

What you should bring with you

As an experienced #OpenSourceAstronaut, you ideally have a degree in one of the following fields: Business informatics, e-government, social sciences, law, natural sciences or a comparable education in the IT universe. You have already gained three years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the public sector cosmos. Knowledge of the organisation of OZG implementation programmes is a plus. For a weightless start with us, you have very good knowledge of analysing processes, requirements management and process management. You are familiar with the vastness of software architectures – you have a basic understanding of the federal context and public administration in particular. For example, you have a certification in process control or in the area of process or requirements management. You can manage Jira, Confluence and Office365 with ease in your day-to-day work. You also master conversations with your excellent German and English skills. You are ready for intergalactic journeys to accompany our customers in Germany on their digitalisation journey and visit our bases in Berlin and Düsseldorf.
