We have defined clear processes for finding new employees. This is important to us, because we think you have a right to know how we approach recruitment and what you can expect from us. That’s why we’ve summarised our application process here:


Stage 1

You apply via our applicant management system – GDPR-compliant of course. Once we’ve received your application, our system will automatically generate a confirmation of receipt and send it to you.

Stage 2

Our Recruiting team will review your application in close cooperation with the respective department. If we are interested, you will be invited to an interview via Teams within one week.

Stage 3

As a rule, your digital job interview will involve both a member of the team with the vacant position and a colleague from the Recruiting team.

Stage 4

We leave this interview convinced that you and publicplan are a good match. We will then contact you promptly with the offer of a contract.

Stage 5

As soon as you’ve signed your publicplan employment contract, we’ll welcome you onboard as an #OpenSourceAstronaut and start your preboarding: In your welcome email, you’ll learn everything you need to know to get started with us. And you’ll hear from us regularly until that point.

Of course, we can be contacted at any time during the application process and will be happy to answer any questions which may come up.


Upon joining, our onboarding program will ensure you are fully integrated into the company. You will gain insight into our organizational structure, your team’s roles, and your individual responsibilities. In addition to company-wide orientation, your team will organize job-specific onboarding appointments tailored to your role. Even beyond the initial period, our Newbie Experience team is available to answer any questions. They will partner with you throughout your probationary phase with ample time for discussion and feedback.

For role-based development, our publicplan Starter Space offers supplemental training on relevant skills and topics. Here you can learn and grow as part of your onboarding experience.


Our crewing program matches new employees with advisors who provide guidance and assistance during the first two months. This facilitates successful integration into the company and satisfaction for our new team members.
